This is one of the best hotels in Nashville! We stayed here for 3 nights at the corner suite and the whole experience was incredible. I loved the spa (the 50 min deep tissue massage was amazing) and the gym (incredible view)! The breakfast was delicious! I wish we have stayed longer to see the ginger bread house finished getting built in the lobby! The secret bar on the 2nd floor was also great! One complain is that a cappuccino should not be $8.50 before tax and tip in this economy. Besides that, everything is great! Thank you for your hospitality!

The Joseph is truly a standout luxury hotel. Everything about this place exudes class — from the elegant design to the attention to detail in every space. The entire property was spotless, and the cleanliness alone set the tone for a comfortable, high-end stay. The customer service was absolutely top-notch; every staff member I interacted with was warm, professional, and genuinely focused on making the experience exceptional. The on-site restaurant was amazing — you can tell quality is a priority from the food to the atmosphere. The amenities were also impressive and added so much to the overall stay. If you’re looking for a hotel that blends luxury, comfort, and outstanding service, The Joseph is hard to beat. Highly recommend!

My girlfriend and I came from Texas to Nashville for Valentines Day and wanted to spend a special evening at a nice hotel downtown. We selected The Joseph back in November and began our coordinations immediately. Their highly acclaimed restaurant, Yolan, was already fully committed on Valentines Day, but Eric emailed us with reservations at their Speakeasy, Four Walls at 7:30 PM and promised to put us in a reservation at 8:30 or 9PM at Yolan if anything popped up between November and February. He was in touch periodically to ensure we stayed in contact along the way, and I really appreciated that. We requested special accommodations on our stay and the reservation team emailed us to confirm those accommodations. However, when we checked in, the accommodations were not fully available. The lovely front desk staff member, Maliyah, quickly got her supervisor to address that situation. Lindsey was completely understanding and applied a credit to our room that overcompensated for the inconvenience. I was very pleased with the staff for going out of the way to accommodate that. Also, while we were in the line to check in, Eric emailed us to confirm a reservation at Yolan for 9PM! When we got to the room, we noticed there was a lighting malfunction and alerted Ommi at the front desk. Not only did he send a team up to urgently fix the issue, but he compensated me for the inconvenience more than I ever could imagine. I will not share the details of compensation, but I want to highlight these things for this reason: if you expect perfection everywhere you go, you will be disappointed. HOWEVER, if you expect to be able to bring imperfections to light, the staff will not disappoint you in ensuring you are pleased with the corrections they make. I am so amazed by the service of the staff here. If I could give 10 stars for that, I would! I cannot leave this review without shouting out Lawson at Four Walls. This is a speakeasy bar inside the hotel on the second floor. I don't know if you will get to experience it without a reservation, so be sure to book before you go. Lawson makes every single drink a piece of art and that is an understatement. He told us at the beginning that our cocktails would be the best experience we have ever had, and he was NOT lying! And shout out to Alan, our server for dinner at Yolan. He made spot-on recommendations, an unforgettable experience, and ensured all of our drinks stayed full and table stayed immaculately placed. Were there some imperfections? Yes, there were. But, I am honestly more happy with having them because I got to experience the true care and gold star service because of them. I highly recommend staying here...whether you are looking for luxury, accommodations, or location, this place has your back...but I would be shocked if the star of the show would be anything but the service! Thank you Ommi, Lawson, Lindsey, Eric, Alan, and Maliyah and all of the staff for making this two days in our lives that we will never forget!

I enjoyed my first time experience at The Joseph! Upon check-in (this was the first issue) the front desk rep treated me I felt as if I didn't belong there or if I didn't know what I was doing. She told me my room wasn't ready when I checked in on my app at 9 am and it told me my room was ready. Then when I informed her of it she stated "it's a pre-check". So I responded "since that room isn't ready and I am a Gold Elite member can you check so see if I can be upgraded?". The stunned looked on her face told me everything I needed to know. Being a Marriott Silver Lifetime Elite Member, Current Gold Member and a member since 2007 (which she can see in the system) irritated me, but I kept it professional. My room was upgraded and I was given keys to check in. I got in the room overall it was clean except one thing...a huge ball of red hair was on the wall of the shower. PLEASE ENSURE YOUR CLEANING STAFF THOROUGHLY CLEANS THE SHOWERS!!! For $500/night that room should be spotless! The highlight of my trip was the valet team. Davionta, Drake, Cam, and Corey were AWESOME! Polite and professional young men that made sure I was good to go every time I came down during my daycation!! The rest of the hospitality staff was nice as well outside of my initial encounter. That an the shower were the only reason why I gave it four stars, but I will be back!

The service was amazing. We felt so special, they delivered macaroons to our room and offered turn down service. I was disappointed they didn’t have more variety available in their dinner menu. I must eat gluten free and the menu was mostly pasta. Most upscale places in larger cities have a gluten free pasta option so it was a surprise they don’t carry an option. The room service menu seems to have more options for me. They also seemed to be a bit inflexible in the restaurant. I requested decaf in a coffee martini which seemed to be a request that was new to the waitress. I could not eat any of the desserts (not gluten free) so requested simply ice cream alone which also seems to be out of the norm. I guess to summarize: the food in the restaurant is very good (I had the filet and it was perfectly cooked, the olive tapenade was perfection and the mashed potatoes were the best over ever had) but the portions are small, the menu felt limited due to my gluten sensitivity and requested any substitution seemed to throw the server for a loop. This is why I removed a star. Stay here, order room service or eat elsewhere if you have a gluten sensitivity.

While I typically stay at premium hotels, this one appears to be more of a luxury level of service. The best service I've ever experienced at a hotel, and I have stayed at a few luxury like Ritz,JW and and SLS. This blew them away service- wise . The room was very nice. The only complaint on the room was that there was no fridge included, but that seems to be a trend these days. The restaurant area left something to be desired. Their sister hotel in Columbus has a fantastic restaurant and a great separate bar. This one was ok. I should clarify we only ate breakfast at the hotel since the restaurant felt very hotel-like, where many now have much more elevates experiences. Having said that the breakfast was quite good. Overall I'd highly recommend this hotel as the service is better than I've gotten at hotels with much loftier reputations and much higher price points.

We had an amazing week! It is walking distance to Main Street and a slightly longer walk or super short drive to the Gulch. Davionta was Johnny on the spot with our jeep, even warming it up for us when needed. Rooms are nice, suites are even better and the staff is absolutely amazing. We did not hit the rooftop bar/restaurant but that will be reserved for the next trip. Thank you to everyone at the Joseph for an amazing stay. We will be back soon!

I'm honestly stunned and beyond inspired by the level of care and service my family received from The Joseph hotel during the recent ice storm. We are locals who lost power in our home and were lucky to find a room in the city that allowed pets. To say the staff went above and beyond to make everyone feel safe and cared for is an understatement. Firstly, the room we booked was gorgeous, well appointed, and extremely comfortable. There were cool, comfortable spaces for working throughout the property, including a secret bourbon bar they turned into a coffee / work space during working hours. We were also grateful there were a couple of nice, convenient areas appointed for taking pets out. There was even an inspiring art gallery to enjoy! Secondly, throughout our stay we received the nicest, personal emails from Lynn Snyder (general manager) to check in to see how we were doing and offering to help in any way. Despite the hotel being filled with local families/ kids/ pets, everything felt calm, quite, and cheerful. That's a nod to how well the staff were managing the property and working to make things comfortable. We received delicious, complementary treats from the hotel's pastry chef for breakfast. The valet staff were amazing, including Kiley Davionta and Drake Colin, who got to know our dog and were so kind and friendly when we were making outings in the cold. Luke, who helped us with our luggage was wonderful. And the last, exceptional note from our stay is that the hotel made sure to keep new reservations limited so that the local guests could extend their stays if needed, versus being forced to check out. What an incredibly kind gesture. They also allowed us to check out at any point without being penalized in any way. It was the right thing to do during that rare occasion but very few hotels were extending that level of care to their guests. The overall experience was the ultimate level of anticipating guests' needs, providing an inspiring, beautiful, and comfortable space, and making sure guests felt seen and taken care of. I get asked for Nashville hotel recommendations often and after this experience, The Joseph will be my number one recommendation, full stop, always.
